Congratulations to Curro Manchon (ESP) who was crowned Raceboard World Champion in Telchac, Mexico together with Paco Wirz (ITA) who was crowned Raceboard Masters World Champion. Dominique Vallee (CAN) finished 14th overall and 1st woman taking some fine scalps along the way... Well done to you all!

The Reef Yucatan Hotel lived up to expectations and provided a superb venue for the Raceboard Worlds.  Racing took place in wind speeds between 7 and 15 knots with the fleets racing on a windward/leeward course just off shore. This allowed competitors to return to the beach between races and take refreshments in the bar just beside the pool and two steps from the beach.

A special thanks must go to the Mexican Sailing Federation for providing the Race Committee; to the State of the Yucatan for sponsoring the event and finally to Pedro Pablo Silveira who not only managed to co-ordinate the whole championship and to coach the large Mexican team but also to attend the birth of his new baby just before the Opening Ceremoney!
